David established his presence in the insurance industry in 1970 with the Royal Insurance Company NZ Limited; the predecessor to Vero.
Since then, he has built up substantial experience, liaising predominantly with senior managements and boards but with a reputation for operating with natural ease at every level. Throughout his career, he has covered the breadth of risk and insurance exposures and has acted for some of New Zeland’s leading shipping, petrochemical, forestry and aerospace industries (military and civilian). He has also advised government and corporate entities throughout Australasia and the Pacific.
David is an expert at conflict resolution and has outstanding negotiation skills. He is unreservedly passionate about his profession and the people he meets as a result – often it leads to long-term relationships, as his bursting address book demonstrates.
Other passions include David’s whanau, friends and musicianship. He has even been known to break out his surfboard occasionally when the temperature “is right”.
Tim can provide well-rounded advice specific to clients’ needs, including family protection and debt protection for personal insurance, and key person protection, partnership share protection and overheads for businesses.
Tim started in the Insurance industry in 1992, with a special interest in personal risk insurance (focusing on the temporary or permanent loss of an individual through disability or death).
Since then, Tim has broadened his horizons, seeking new knowledge and experiences, which now equip him to offer our clients advice across a wide range of areas. He has successfully completed several papers at Massey University, covering subjects such as personal finance, financial markets and investment, estate and tax planning, and property investment.
Tim’s background as a chef makes him a great entertainer, and he and his family regularly share their love of food with guests at home, or on their weekend trips to Hastings. Tim also somehow finds the time to run most days to keep fit.
